Robby Ptacek Earns Connecticut 6 Player Of The Week
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Central Connecticut State University
Robby Ptacek (Bayport, N.Y.) earned the Connecticut 6 Player of the
Week after leading the Blue Devils to a 1-1 finish at the Skip
Prosser Tournament.
The sophomore averaged 20 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for
Central Connecticut. He scored a team-high 16 points and also led
the team with seven rebounds in a 51-44 victory over Savannah State
on last Saturday. The next night, Ptacek tallied a career-high 24
points and collected four more rebounds as the Blue Devils fell to
The Citadel.
Ptacek has led the team in scoring in every game this season, made
13 of 28 field goals which included five of nine from behind the
three-point arc. He averaged 36 minutes per game over the two-game
stretch.
The Connecticut 6 includes six of the Division I men’s
basketball teams in the state, which includes Central Connecticut
State University, Fairfield University, University of Hartford,
Quinnipiac University, Sacred Heart University, and Yale
University.
